A mass shooting at Brown University in Rhode Island occurred during the final exams session when a gunman was seen opening fire inside the Barus and Holley Engineering building.
The incident left two kids dead and nine more injured. The initial reports coming out spoke about the suspect being in custody. An individual was briefly detained as the person of interest, but was later ruled out of any involvement in the shooting.
Despite such a mega disaster taking place on the national level, many are beyond confused and wonder why the US President found it okay to take to his account on social media, stating how the suspect was in custody initially.
He then issued another corrected response about how the suspect was not in custody, and that was an error. This is when the university authorities began to clarify the situation.
Trump then drew criticism from experts for being clueless and for spreading unconfirmed and confusing data to the world.
But if that was not enough, Trump was slammed for sharing an image of what seemed to be a painting of himself as the Brown University shooter remains at large. ‘First, he falsely claims that they found the suspect, and now he shares pictures of himself. This is just ridiculous!’- one furious person mentioned, and many agreed.
