Superstar actress Sofia Vergara has broken her silence on why she was left with no choice but to abort her plans for this year’s Emmy Awards.
Despite being scheduled to attend, a medical emergency arose in the form of a serious allergic reaction that made her helpless. The star says she had a serious eye condition that warranted immediate medical care and intervention. This forced her to cancel her presenting gig at the final moment at this year’s 77th Primetime Emmy Awards.
The 53-year-old AGT judge, who has more than 59 million followers on social media, shared on Instagram: ‘Did not make it to the Emmys but made it to the ER. Sorry, I had to cancel at the last moment! It was a crazy eye allergy I got right before I got into the car’- she continued.
Shocking images featuring the star while she reclined on her hospital bed were shared online. Vergara also published a clip of her seeking relief by using a specialized eye rinse faucet to help cure the condition.
The five-time Emmy nominee received so many great wishes from her fellow America’s Got Talent colleague, Terry Crews, who commented on how upset and worried he was to hear about her, while wishing her to get well soon.
