King Charles has met with serious dismay from UK citizens after Buckingham Palace confirmed today that the visit of American US President Donald Trump has been confirmed, with his dates of the visit released.
Charles has extended his hand to Trump for the unprecedented second state visit in September, and that really took many people by surprise.
The trip is scheduled for three days when parliament is not sitting and removing the possibility of the American president addressing parliament.
The visit is a coup for the White House with Trump being the first elected politician in modern times to be given this honor of two visits, after his earlier one in the year 2019.
But the American president received a frostier reception when he made an appearance at the Club World Cup final in New Jersey on Sunday.
Trump was booed and jeered by the crowd during the national anthem before the match and again while he was presenting the trophy to Chelsea alongside FIFA president Gianni Infantino.
