Singing sensation Shakira was left with no choice but to postpone her tour in Peru after a shocking new health update.

The star had just kicked off the tour but was forced to cancel the show for February 16 after being hospitalized.

The star shared more details through her social media including how she was rushed to the ER for serious abdominal issues. She also mentioned how she was currently being treated at the hospital and doctors did share how she was not in the right state of health to be performing anytime soon.

Shakira who is the mother of two sons that she shares with soccer legend Gerard Pique mentioned that she’s so sad to hear the news but wants fans to know that she is going to come back stronger than ever to entertain them.

She thanked her fans for their love, patience, and understanding during this difficult time for her.

“I hope to be released soon. I was supposed to have back to back shows but now things are not in my control”- she continued.

She also looks forward to reuniting with her fans soon so she can go back to doing what she loves to do the most and that is performing live.
