An out-of-control helicopter crash-landed near a Michigan lake on Sunday.
The incident sent a cloud of dust and debris into the air near the famous waterfront restaurant, according to authorities.
The helicopter was said to be landing inside the vacant lot beside the Cabana Blue eatery near Lake St. Clair when it tipped forward and spun out of control, as shared in the video published by Click on Detroit.
The tail lifted upwards as the propellers continued to spin, eventually sending the helicopter sideways. The propellers continued to spin, kicking clouds of dirt and debris right towards the restaurant.
While no injuries were reported in the incident, it did give rise to a moment of fear and panic, and also sent so many diners running in all directions.
As per reports from local media outlets, the helicopter was said to be owned privately by the Clay Township Police. The cause of this crash is still being determined and is under investigation.
