A worker from Amazon says he was fired after asking for a leave that he felt is more than justifiable.

The man revealed how his parents had passed away and his family needed him to be there during this difficult time. However, they refused to recognize this and show empathy. And in the end, fired him over the incident.

53-year-old Scott Brock revealed how shocked he became when he was wrongfully fired for his bereavement leave request. His parents reportedly passed away in the same week, around six days apart from one another.

Hence, he sent out the request and was not only blatantly denied but they blasted him further by opting to fire him too. Clearly, this led to a state of absolute shock and now, he vows to go public about the way they behaved as he feels it’s just not okay.

This lawsuit was reportedly filed on Tuesday by the 53-year-old who hails from California. He accused Amazon of wrongfully firing him from the job that arose during the early parts of February.

Moreover, he says that stunned was an understatement for how he felt. It was illogical and just not okay, he continued. But after being shamed in public, Amazon has come out with its own reply on the matter.

They stated that his termination from the job had nothing to do with the fact that his parents passed away. They called it ridiculous how he was mixing two completely different situations and falsely accusing them of something they didn’t do.

Both of his parents reportedly died six days apart from one another. They were in their 80s and the cause of death was described to be all-natural.

“I was shocked to see how these people were so much more concerned about numbers than anything else. Who does this? It’s no wrong”- he went on to add. And now, he’s moving on with his legal options.
