Human remains were found just over three weeks after missing teenager Phoebe Bishop disappeared after failing to check in for the booked flight in Australia.
Bishop has not been seen or heard from since being taken to Bundaberg Regional Airport in Queensland at about 8:30 am local time.
On Friday, the cops shared in a release how the cops located what is said to be human remains following the search in the area near Good Night Scrub National Park near Gin Gin this afternoon.
The brief search commenced after further inquiries and investigation took place. The discovery made by specialist units shared that it was about 2:30 pm local time when it was found.
The police continued to mention more details about how the remains are yet to be identified formally. However, investigators are now in contact with the loved ones during this difficult time of missing 17-year-old Pheobe Bishop.
The Queensland Police didn’t have any additional updates to add at this moment in time when contacted by PEOPLE. ‘Please note that we have not confirmed the identity of the remains as we would be awaiting forensic testing, which might take some time to come back’- the police spokesperson mentioned in the mail.
