At least 16 people were killed, mostly students, when a training aircraft was seen crashing into a school campus in the capital city of Bangladesh today.
More than 100 people were also injured in the tragedy, with at least 83 undergoing treatment in different hospitals, the office of interim leader M. Yunus shared.
The plane crashed onto the campus of the Milestone School and College in the city’s Uttara area during the afternoon hours when kids were present.
Television footage showed both fire and smoke billowing from the site of the crash as bystanders were seen trying to put out the massive flames.
Other horrifying clips circulated on social media and showed crowds of students fleeing from the scene in a moment of panic.
