New details have emerged from the freak accident that arose after a school drop-off that killed a second grader.
Serenity Campos was recalled as a protective and loving big sister who had the most contagious smile of them all.
She was getting dropped off by her parents when all of a sudden, things didn’t quite go as planned. She was killed in the act when her coat got stuck to the car’s door without anyone realizing.
A statement was shared on this front including how the officer ended up identifying the victim.
They referred to it as an unimaginable tragedy and grief while others dubbed it to be the most heartbreaking loss.
As per several different witness accounts, Serenity exited the vehicle at the right spot called the drop-off location at the elementary parking lot.
The driver had no clue that the passenger’s coat was stuck and therefore drove away not realizing what had just happened.
As the car started to pull away, the motion resulted in Serenity falling and being struck by the vehicle. Despite the quick call for medical and emergency attention, she just could not survive the fatal injuries and died.
