Prince William is taking all he learned from his parents’ failed marriage into his own relationship with his wife Kate.
The Prince of Wales reflected more on the mistakes of his father and the late Princess Diana in a recent episode of Eugene Levy’s Apple TV show called The Reluctant Traveler.
This is where he mentiond that he thinks it’s so important that the atmosphere is created at home. He added how you have to have the warmth, the feeling of safety, and the feeling of love and security at all times with your partner.
He then mentioned how it all has to be there for things to work out and it was always a part of his childhood. But the heir to the British throne mentioned how the warm environment only lasted a short period of time and that’s why his parents ended up getting divorced in 1996 when he was just 8 years old.
The breakup notoriously took place amid Charles’ long term affair with Camilla Parker Bowles, whom the King wed in the year 2005.
‘You take that and you learn from it and you try your best to make sure that you don’t make the same mistakes that your parents once did’- he continued. ‘I think we all try and do that to make it work and last as long as possible’ – the future king concluded.
