Actress Sally Kirkland has entered hospice care in Palm Springs amid her battle with dementia.

The star’s rep, Michael Greene, confirmed the heartbreaking news recently as per TMZ, adding how her friend and former student is by her side during this difficult time.

The Oscar nominee has suffered from health issues in recent years, and this just appears to be a drastic elevation of that. A GoFundMe was created in November of 2024 after she fractured four bones in her neck, right wrist, and left hip.

She was said to be recovering, and during that time, she suffered two separate life-threatening infections. The medical bills started to mount, and it was more than her insurance would recover, sources mentioned.

Last month, organizers of the fundraiser mentioned through a message how Sally is sending love to everyone, and it’s been a challenging few months for her.
