Ukraine’s president Volodymyr Zelensky has issued a chilling warning as he called on the world to prepare for a nuclear war.

As the comedian turned politician warned in his doomsday speech, Putin could resort to using nuclear weapons to crush Ukraine’s resistance at any time.

Rather than wait for the possible nuclear conflict to happen, Zelensky said everyone should be preparing for the worst by building air-raid shelters and stocking up on anti-radiation medicine.

The Ukrainian leader’s speech comes after Russia took revenge for the sinking of its flagship missile cruiser Moskva by shelling eight towns and cities including Lviv, Kyiv, and Kharkiv.

Moskva, which patrolled the Black Sea following Putin’s invasion of Ukraine, has reportedly sunk after being struck by two Ukrainian Neptune missiles.

While Kremlin initially failed to acknowledge the loss of their Black Sea Fleet’s flagship, Moscow later admitted that the vessel had sunk. Russian authorities, however, insisted that the damaged missile cruiser had succumbed to onboard fire while being towed away.

The sinking of the ship sparked a series of Russian revenge attacks on Sunday.

Among the first places to be targeted in response was the Darnytskyi District in Kyiv where a tank repair factory was bombed.
