Russia has renewed its threats to the West days after President Vladimir Putin was accused of war crimes by several world leaders.
Amid verified reports of Russian bombing, the killing of civilians, and other atrocities taking place in Ukraine, the West has condemned Putin and branded him as a war criminal.
Now, however, Russia has once again renewed its threats and threatened to “put all of our brash enemies in their place.”
Accusing the United States of promoting “disgusting” Russophobia across the globe, former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev said:
“It will not work – Russia has the might to put all of our brash enemies in their place.”
Medvedev has since also insisted that the sanctions imposed on Russia were nothing more than political impotence even though they helped in crashing Russia’s stock market and bringing its economy and Ruble to their knees.
The former president’s speech comes shortly after Biden took a jab at Putin and his “brutality” during a virtual meeting with Toiseach Micheál Martin of Ireland at the White House.
“We’re meeting at a moment where the demands of unity in the world are really accelerating. Putin’s brutality, and what he’s doing, and what his troops are doing in Ukraine, is just inhumane,” he said.
A day before that, Biden dubbed Russia’s strongman Putin a war criminal after the briefing at the White House.
“I think he is a war criminal,” the US President said.
Earlier that day, he insisted that Putin must “pay a very heavy price” for the atrocities going on in Ukraine.
“We saw reports that Russian forces were holding hundreds of doctors and patients hostage in the largest hospital in Mariupol. These are atrocities. They’re an outrage to the world. And the world is united in our support for Ukraine and our determination to make Putin pay a very heavy price,” Biden insisted.
