Things aren’t looking too great for Russia’s Red Army as experts claim the country’s war efforts are slowly but surely grinding to a halt.
According to reports from local media outlets, the country may have begun the war with great enthusiasm but it now appears they may have bitten off more than they can chew as the country struggles to replenish its supply of weapons and hardware.
As a whole, recent statistics shed light on how Russia has lost around 143 planes, 625 tanks, and 131 helicopters in the Ukrainian invasion.
But recently, experts believe the nation is finding it more and more difficult when comes to the replacement of its artillery as most of the hardware is made in Ukraine.
This compounded with the great number of Western sanctions is certainly not making things easy for Putin and his men.
Meanwhile, defense experts claim the country’s army has run of out weapons and is having great trouble moving ahead with its advancements.
Moerover, it was also revealed how quite a few of the helicopters, cruise missiles, and jets that were used during the conflict were linked to Ukrainian manufacturers.
“The country will not be able to source their war items from any other nation. They are facing detrimental sanctions that bar them from doing so”- mentioned one defense analyst and expert.
The news comes at a time when Ukrainian forces drove out Russians in dozens from the areas surrounding the capital city of Kyiv.
During this particular defensive attack by Ukraine’s forces, at least 30 different settlements had been regained while forcing Russian troops to retreat up to 25 miles at some distinct locations.
However, experts believe Ukraine must play smart and not fall into Russia’s traps as it feels these are certain war tactics used to encircle target forces around the Donbas region which could potentially split the nation into two halves.
