The Russian convoy heading towards the embattled capital of Ukraine is twice as long as previously thought.
Spanning for more than forty miles, a Russian convoy with armored vehicles, tanks, supply trucks, and artillery is closing in on Kyiv, satellite images reveal.
While the convoy, which was last reported spanning all the way from Antonov airbase to the town of Pribyrsk near Ukraine’s border with Belarus, was previously believed to be just miles long, fresh satellite images confirm that it, in fact, stretches for over forty miles.
In chilling photos, hundreds of vehicles could be seen moving towards the capital as the fierce battle for the capital continues.
Amid the Russian invasion of Ukraine, President Zelensky accused Putin of war crimes after revealing that at least 16 children were already killed by his war.
Despite the devastating scenes in Kyiv, Ukrainians remain strong and refuse to give up their fight for a free and democratic country.
In a recent interview with CNN, former boxing champion Vitali Klitschko who vowed to join the fight for his country told host Anderson Cooper that his people are willing to go to war to defend what’s theirs despite the overwhelming force of the enemy.
“We never were so patriotic. I have never been so proud of our soldiers. Our soldiers are heroes. Civilians are building defenses. People are taking weapons and are ready to defend our homes, defend our families, our future and our country,” Klitschko said.
“I am really proud. The army is not interested in how strong the Russian army is; we are ready to fight, and ready to die for our home. Because it is our future. Somebody wants to come to our home and steal our future from us.”
The boxer went on to share a message for Putin saying: “We don’t want the Soviet Union back. We want a free, democratic country. We are fighting for that – fighting for our dream. We don’t need the war. We are a peaceful nation, a peaceful people.”
