BREAKING: Russia Uses CHEMICAL Weapons Causing Respiratory Failures In Attack On The City Of Mariupol, Reports Claim


Russian troops have reportedly used an unknown chemical agent in their attack on the embattled city of Mariupol.

The Ukrainian port city of Mariupol has been under siege for several weeks, whereas brave Ukrainian forces refuse to give up despite running low on provisions including food and water.

It has now been claimed that Russia resorted to the use of chemical weapons in a bid to overcome Ukraine’s resistance in the city.

According to several reports, an unknown chemical agent was dropped in the city by a Russian drone.

Following the alleged chemical attack, people exposed to the agent have begun suffering from respiratory failure and a progressive neurological disorder known as the vestibulocerebellar syndrome.

The details of the assault believed to include the use of a “poisonous substance of unknown origin” have been presented via the Telegram app.

The allegations currently remain under investigation by the US and the UK.

As Liz Truss, Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs of the United Kingdom, has since confirmed, her department is working with partners to verify the claims.

“Reports that Russian forces may have used chemical agents in an attack on the people of Mariupol. We are working urgently with partners to verify details,” she tweeted.

“Any use of such weapons would be a callous escalation in this conflict and we will hold Putin and his regime to account.”

Meanwhile, the Ukrainian parliament warned they have been receiving reports of Russian troops using nitric acid in Donetsk.

The warnings come shortly after Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense warned that Russia might use phosphorus bombs which cause terrible injuries in a bid to overcome the resistance in Mariupol where at least 10,000 civilians have already been killed since the beginning of the Russian invasion.
