Actor Robert De Niro is sharing his favorite parenting rules.

The star mentioned during an exclusive interview with Entertainment Tonight that nothing makes him happier than having his little ones by his side.

The 81-year-old A-List star spoke about everything from the upcoming Meet The Parents sequel to life as an older father.

The star, who is a father to seven beautiful children whom he shares with several different women, added how there are some ultimate parenting rules to raising kids, and he’s speaking from experience.

‘Well, there are some things that you can do and certain things that you cannot do. The main thing is that you support your kids so much!’- he added.

Then, the star mentioned how, as long as they’re not hurting themselves, doing anything destructive or similar to that, you have to support them until the end.

Many fans found the advice refreshing and felt that he was a great dad who took the time out to get his kids instead of being so strict all of the time.

He also mentioned how they have to know that you support them always, and that’s very important. Speaking to Entertainment Tonight about the newest addition to the family, he also added how his youngest daughter happens to be his pride and is a bundle of pure joy.
