The Royal Family shared a series of photos of Kate Middleton as they wished her a happy birthday on their social media accounts.
Photos shared on the Royal Family’s Instagram page show the Duchess of Cambridge’s strong bond with the Queen and senior royals.
Two of the images were taken by photographer Paolo Roversi and shared on @theroyalfamily’s Instagram stories.
One of the photos shows the Duchess smiling with her father-in-law, Prince Charles, during the Festival of Remembrance Service at the Royal Albert Hall last year.
Another photo shared by Clarence House is a close-up portrait of Kate smiling at the camera.
A third image, taken at the G7 Summit in 2020, shows Kate, the Queen, and Camilla smiling as they look over a replica of a model city.
The future Queen took to Twitter and responded to well-wishers, writing: “Thank you for all of your very kind birthday wishes, and to Paolo and the National Portrait Gallery for these three special portraits. C.”
Another image shows Kate holding a 2-year-old Princess Charlotte during Trooping the Colour in 2016.
Charities who have worked with Kate also shared well wishes on her birthday.
Victoria and Albert Museum praised her “celebration of art and design” and called her a champion of “youth creativity and early years development.”
Action for Children praised her as “an aspiring champion of children and young people” while Foundling Museum thanked her for the work she did as their patron.
Royal photographer Chris Jackson wrote on Twitter: “It’s been a joy to photograph the Duchess of Cambridge for the last decade.
“Ahead of her 40th birthday I thought I would share my best photos.
“From official duties to family life, tours and portraits I’ve been lucky enough to capture so any facets of her life.”
