‘Annabelle Doll Wasn’t in Room When Dan Rivera Died as the Paranormal Investigator’s Cause of Death Revealed


The cause of death has been determined for the paranormal investigator whose body was found in July after an event in Gettysburg, showcasing the infamous Annebelle doll.

Dan Rivera, who is an army veteran and senior lead investigator for the Connecticut-based New England Society for Psychic Research, passed away on July 13, just a day after an event with the purportedly haunted toy that has long been featured as a part of horror tales.

Francis Dutrow, the Adams County coroner, shared in a statement from Thursday how Rivera’s cause of death was cardiac-related and was ruled as natural.

Mr. Rivera had a known history of cardiac disease, which was consistent with the findings. It also shared how Annabelle was not present in the room at the time of his passing. A report from July 13 from the Pennsylvania State Police detailed more about the conditions in which Rivera was found.
