Massive Volcano Erupts After Tsunami Waves Rock Hawaii and US West Coast


After one of the largest earthquakes had struck Russia in modern times, a massive volcano has erupted after tsunami waves rocked Hawaii and the US West Coast.

The Klyuchevskoy volcano is located on the Kamchatka peninsula in Russia’s far east and it started erupting after a powerful earthquake in the Pacific, as per Russian state news agency RIA today.

The shallow tremor off the peninsula damaged buildings and injured several people in the remote Russian region while much of Japan’s eastern seaboard, devastated by the 9.0 magnitude and tsunami in 2011 was ordered to evacuate as were parts of Hawaii.

By the evening of July 30, Japan and Hawaii had downgraded their tsunami warnings, but authorities in French Polynesia warned residents of several of the remote Marquesas Islands to move to higher ground and follow special instructions.

The massive ash plume from the eruption extended nearly 1.5 miles above and 36 miles east of the volcano, the team shared on Telegram.

The group also shared that the explosions of ash up to 5 miles high could occur at any time. At this moment in time, the details about the full extent of the eruption and damages were unknown at this moment in time.
