Whatever the case may be, many found it hard to take anything she was saying seriously.
They blasted the star who got a standing ovation for the category for Best New Artist but it was powerful and bold of her to earn the respect of the trans community by standing up for them.
After getting her accolade, she shared that it was about time the whole music fraternity united as one and spoke up for what was right.
‘I kept telling myself that if I got an award then I would use this platform the right way. I would demand that labels and the industry profiting from millions could provide livable wages and better healthcare’- she continued.
This was right before the star started to dive into some of her own struggles that she faces on a routine basis. “I’m so committed to the art but the system keeps on betraying me!”- she shared.
