Rihanna is pregnant and is expecting her second child.
The pop superstar confirmed the happy news as she took to the Super Bowl 57 stage on Sunday and showed off her growing belly in front of the audience.
For the occasion, the Umbrella hitmaker wore a skin-tight bodysuit and a baggy red jumpsuit with loosely tied straps. As she performed her single ‘B**** Better Have My Money’, Rihanna stood on a platform high above the field along with dancers dressed in white.
Besides her hit song, the 34-year-old billionaire also performed We Found Love, Rude Boy, Work, Wild Thoughts, and Pour It Up. Part of the performance were also some more controversial choices including parts of Jay-Z’s Run This Town and an excerpt from All Of The Lights by Kanye West.
Shortly after the singer’s performance at Glendale’s State Farm Stadium, her representative confirmed the pregnancy news.
The announcement comes less than a year after the singer welcomed her first child with rapper A$AP Rocky.
After giving birth, Rihanna admitted she was hesitant to sign on for the Super Bowl 57 performance because she was just months into her postpartum.
“I was like, ‘You sure? I’m three months postpartum. Should I be making major decisions like this right now? I might regret this,’” she previously told The Hollywood Reporter.
“When you become a mom, there’s something that just happens where you feel like you could take on the world — you can do anything.
“And the Super Bowl is one of the biggest stages in the world, so as scary as that was … there’s something exhilarating about the challenge of it all. It’s important for my son to see that.”
