Rihanna showed off her protruding baby bump and flaunted her pregnancy glow as she carried her son RZA in her arms.
The 35-year-old popstar was pictured outside the celebrity hotspot restaurant Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica, California, on Saturday evening.
For the occasion, the Umbrella hitmaker donned a shiny satin coat with a $100 bill print over a pair of blue jeans and a crop top. She completed her look with braided pigtails and a matching denim jacket.
While walking towards the restaurant, Rihanna was carrying her son RZA in her arms.
The singer is now close to welcoming her second child with husband A$AP Rocky, 34, whom she previously called her best friend.
In an interview with Vogue, Rihanna also opened up about her motherhood and her life after welcoming her first child as she admitted she barely remembers what life was like before.
“It’s everything, you really don’t remember life before, that’s the craziest thing ever.
You literally try to remember it – and there are photos of my life before – but the feeling, the desires, the things that you enjoy, everything, you just don’t identify with it because you don’t even allow yourself mentally to get that far, because… Because it doesn’t matter,” the Pon de Replay hitmaker shared.
Admitting that the first few months of motherhood were far from easy, she continued:
“Essentially, from one person I became two. You walk into the hospital as a couple and leave as a family of three. It’s nuts.
“And oh, my gosh, those first days are insane. You don’t sleep. At all. Not even if you wanted to. We came home, cold turkey, had no one. It was just us as parents and our baby. Man, you’re a zombie for the most part.”
Despite the challenge, Rihanna insisted the baby only brought her and her husband closer together. She also praised Rocky for being a good dad to his son and for forging a strong bond between them.
“I’m just sitting on the sidelines when they’re together. I’m literally the girl trying to get into the boys club, waiting for my turn. He is obsessed with his father,” the singer said.
“And I’m like: ‘Didn’t I give birth to you? What is going on?’ Their connection is undeniable. The second Rocky makes eye contact with him he is on fire. The whole thing they say about sons and moms, it’s a myth. Sons and fathers is crazy. I realized that the validation that you really need as a boy is from your father.”
