JUST IN: Ricky Gervais BLASTS Will Smith And Insists Jada Pinkett’s Alopecia Is Not A Disability

Comedian Ricky Gervais has spoken out about the notorious Academy Awards slapping and slammed Will Smith and Jada Pinkett.

Expressing his opinion on Smith slapping Oscars host Chris Rock in the face after the latter made a joke about Jada Pinkett’s baldness, the 60-year-old creator of The Office suggested the G.I. Jane joke was not only tame but also not bad.

Ricky also took the opportunity to slam Jada Pinkett’s fans who suggested Rock was making fun of a ‘disability’ when he involved her alopecia in his joke.

“Someone said it was joking about her [Jada’s] disability. Well I’m going a bit thin, so I’m disabled. That means I can park right up next to Tescos now,” the comedian joked.

“And I’m fat, that’s a disease. I’m fat and balding, I should get f***ing benefits.”

As the director and actor added, Will should never have struck the Academy Awards presenter especially since the joke “wasn’t bad.”

“You don’t hit people over a joke, however bad it is. And it wasn’t bad! That was like the tamest joke I would ever have told,” Gervais insisted.

Since his fans were left guessing what his jokes would look like should he be the one to host the Oscars, the comedian revealed he would poke fun at Smith rather than his wife and her baldness.

“I’ll get it out of the way. I have not got any Will Smith material. I trended when that happened and I was not even there,” Ricky said earlier this week during his show in London.

“What has it got to do with me? People were going ‘What would have happened if Ricky Gervais had been doing it (hosting Oscars)?’

“Well, nothing as I would not have made a joke about his wife’s hair. I would have made a joke about her boyfriend.”
