Billionaire Elon Musk was all smiles after showing up to the Met Gala this year with his mom Maye by his side.
This is being marked as the Tesla owner’s first public appearance since he struck a bombshell decision and became the new owner of social media giant company Twitter, after a series of rollercoaster proceedings.
The 50-year-old confidently posed for cameras on the glitzy and glam red carpet on Monday night with his 74-year-old mother Maye smiling right next to him.
Twitter’s new owner was asked to describe his look for this year’s themed event and he started by calling it a Gilded Glamor theme, adding how he was just following the instructions of his stylists and the dress code allotted for this year’s event.
Meanwhile, the billionaire’s mother was seen donning a crimson-toned Christian Dior gown in stunning velvet fabric. She completed her look with stunning jeweled pieces by Chopard.
Musk has really made a name for himself after finally purchasing Twitter for $44 billion despite being thrown a number of curveballs to help prevent him from acquiring more shares of the company including the classic technique of ‘poison pill’ too.
But despite the many hurdles and challenges that came his way, he never fell short of amusing his fans and followers and Twitter, and today, the company is all his.
Musk has vowed to improve the social media platform by making freedom of speech an integral part of the app while focusing on introducing more features and combating spam through bots.
Elon Musk seemed to be having an absolute ball at the event. With his mom hand to hand as his date in public, he could be seen posing and mingling with some of the biggest A-list stars. He was his usual quirky self and even tried to pout his way through the media’s cameras, forcing his mom to break out into fits of laughter.
