It certainly would not be wrong to mention that Patrick Mahomes is not sure about his friend and teammate Travis Kelce not being able to return to the game next season.

Following a very upsetting defeat to the Philadelphia Eagles in the 2025 Super Bowl, he was asked if he had checked up on his good friend and the response was interesting.

Speaking to reporters, he mentioned that the 40-22 loss is not going to make him happy but again, it’s not in my place to speak about his retirement.

‘Will he return or not, well I’m not quite sure about that!’- he continued.

Speaking to the press on the matter, he added that Mahomes is not going to steal away his thunder and felt that it’s not his position to comment if he’d be staying or not.

‘Let Travis make that decision on his own, he does deserve some respect after playing a great season. He needs some rest to come back stronger than ever!’- he continued. Mahomes said that his friend has given so much to the team and the entire NFL. It’s been a joy to play with him, he continued.
