While the segment began as planned, Robb started slurring her words just seconds into her live on-air report.

“Families are pushing the feds to… pushing the feds to…” she said before appearing to lose her balance and stumble around.

“Sorry Nahreman. I’m, I’m, I’m not feeling very well right now, and I’m about to just…” she added before studio host Nahreman Issa took over and the report was cut short.

Issa then assured the viewers that the reporter was not alone on the scene and that she would receive immediate medical attention in response to her emergency.

Following the incident, CTV Edmonton released a statement confirming that Robb is feeling better and that she is resting.

“Thanks to everyone who inquired about our reporter who became ill during the 6 pm News. Jessica Robb is feeling better and is now resting,” they said.

As Robb has since also told DailyMail.com, she suffered a “very personal and vulnerable moment” during her live report.

She also released the following statement before her Twitter account was made private:

“Thank you to everyone who has reached, my cameraman, @Stmcclune for being there for me, & @NahremanIssaCTV for being an absolute pro (as usual).”

The reporter added: “To everyone who has reached out with supportive messages of well wishes and concern, thank you. It’s been overwhelming, and while I can’t get to all the messages, please know I’ve seen them and appreciate every single one.

“I have also received an overwhelming amount of harassment and hatred, tied to false theories about the reason for the incident. While I will not share private medical information publicly, I can say that there is no cause for concern, and that my understanding of my own medical background provides a reasonable explanation for what happened.”

Our thoughts are with Robb as her recovery continues.
