Ukraine has reportedly rejected Russia’s peace talk proposal today.
According to reports from local media outlets, Ukraine was quick to mention how it boldly rejected the Russian plan to turn ‘neutral’, similar to nations like Austria or Sweden.
Both countries tried to solve their differences via a deal that would reportedly put a close to the ongoing bloody chapter of a war that continues to shamble the country.
Reports revealed how Moscow is now demanding Ukraine to say no to joining any form of military alliance and also reject the idea of hosting its grounds for the purpose of foreign military bases in exchange for a ceasefire as well as the complete withdrawal of Russian troops from their country.
However, Kyiv had no intentions of approving that particular proposal as they claim that any form of the deal will now require an array of security guarantees that are underwritten by their international partners. The latter would be willing to come to the country’s defense in case it is ever under an attack again.
On the other hand, the country’s top negotiator revealed how the international community simply can’t be allowed to sit silently and watch another nation come under attack again as they are doing now with Ukraine.
But Russia’s foreign minister is revealing a completely different picture regarding the talks, giving the impression that their plan is near to being accepted by the Ukrainians.
“There is neutrality being taken center stage with both capitals Moscow and Kyiv being very close to saying yes to the wording of the agreement, alongside a comprehensive plan comprising of 15 points for peace being under discussion.
This deal would reportedly include Russia taking out all of its troops from Ukraine including those areas that it has managed to capture since the war began, three weeks ago.
