Rapper Eminem is known for doing some pretty crazy things but we bet nothing gets weirder than this next act.
The celeb was recently reported to have spent a staggering sum of money upon an NFT ‘ape’ that apparently resembles the star.
Clearly, the rising interest in NFT’s as well as the world of Metaverse has many going crazy but nothing beats celebs who appear to be finding their way into the futuristic idea.
Eminem is the latest celeb to tap into the world of virtual space as he reportedly purchased a Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT worth nearly $450,000.
The striking graphic that happens to be dubbed as ‘EminApe’ showcases the rapper’s signature looks and that includes his cool dressing sense comprising of a khaki-themed army cap as well as a fancy gold chain necklace. These are distinctive accessories that are usually adorned by the star in real life.
Meanwhile, the digital artwork was even sold by a BAYC member for the same amount.
Moreover, one person has even gone on to mention in the past how strongly he felt that the celeb might just purchase it one day and it appears that his prayers have been answered, one year later.
However, it should be noted that this clearly was not Eminem’s first purchase as the rapper could be seen buying nearly 15 other pieces that are present on the viral OpenSea platform that comes under the name “Shady Holdings.”
Clearly, this isn’t something that many people or fans saw coming and that’s why the news is going viral as it makes the rounds on social media.
