A major incident was declared in Manchester after a stabbing and car ramming incident took center stage at a synagogue.
Four people were reportedly injured, and a suspect was shot dead by the police. Now, the country’s PM is said to be on his way back to the United Kingdom to chair an emergency COBRA meeting.
One of the victims included a brave security guard who decided to face the armed suspect and take him down, sources have confirmed. All the victims were rushed to a hospital nearby, but no word on their condition was shared at this moment in time.
A video circulating online showed two armed Greater Manchester officers in the forecourt of the synagogue. They are heard telling witnesses to stay back as they confront an individual on the floor. The camera also showed one victim on the ground, bleeding and lying outside the synagogue’s gate. It’s not clear what sort of injuries they sustained as they are not moving in the video.
After a short period of time, that same person was seen trying to stand up, and that’s when loud gunfire could be heard as the individual fell back to the ground.
