The Queen has been praised for her strength and determination after she was allegedly spotted horse riding despite suffering from mobility issues.
The 96-year-old monarch, who relied on her walking stick to get around in recent months after reportedly running into mobility issues, went horse riding at Windsor Castle according to a source.
Defying her doctors who advised her to quit riding as long as nine months ago, the Queen returned in the saddle and took her horse for a ride in Windsor.
The alleged riding comes shortly after the monarch was spotted using a walking stick to get around and after she skipped out on some of the events during her Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
While she may have suffered from undisclosed “mobility issues,” the 96-year-old appears to be back to her old self, whereas she ditched her walking stick when she met with Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby on Tuesday.
“The Queen has enjoyed being on her horse again. Riding again is a wonderful sign after those worries about her health. To do so at 96 is pretty remarkable,” an insider claimed.
Queen Elizabeth II has enjoyed being in the presence of horses since an early age after being gifted a pony when she was just three years old.
Throughout her adulthood, she also made her name as a horse breeder and a racehorse owner who was frequently spotted on horseback during Trooping the Color before other royals took over the role due to her age.
The alleged horse ride comes as the Queen is preparing to make her annual visit to Scotland to mark Holyrood Week. The decision on whether the monarch will travel to Scotland or not, however, has not yet been finalized.
