BREAKING: The Queen Has Been Laid To Rest Next To Her Beloved Husband Prince Philip


The Queen has been buried with her beloved husband Prince Philip after a day of emotional public ceremonies.

On Monday, September 19, billions of people watched Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral at Westminster Abbey following her lying in state period at Westminster Hall.

The solemn service was attended by the late monarch’s family, including her four children – King Charles, Princess Anne, Prince Edward, and Prince Andrew – and her grandchildren. Viewing the sendoff in person were also some 2,000 VIP guests including foreign presidents and politicians.

After the service, the Queen was brought back to Windsor where her coffin was lowered into the royal vault at St George’s Chapel where she now rests with her late husband, Prince Philip.

“This evening a Private Burial will take place in The King George VI Memorial Chapel at Windsor,” Palace announced via The Royal Family Twitter account prior to the Queen’s burial.

“The Queen will be Laid to Rest with her late husband The Duke of Edinburgh, alongside her father King George VI, mother Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother and sister Princess Margaret.”

During the burial, Her Majesty’s crown, scepter, and orb were removed from the top of her coffin to allow the Queen to descend into the burial chamber “as a simple Christian soul.”

“Go forth upon thy journey from this world, O Christian soul,” the Dean of Windsor said as the coffin was lowered into the vault, marking the 12th time a British monarch was buried at Windsor.

“A Private Burial took place in The King George VI Memorial Chapel this evening, conducted by the Dean of Windsor. The Queen was buried together with The Duke of Edinburgh, at The King George VI Memorial Chapel,” Buckingham Palace confirmed afterward.

Meanwhile, The Royal Family shared a never-before-seen photo of Queen Elizabeth II hiking along with the caption: “In loving memory of Her Majesty The Queen.”

The tweet also included a quote from Shakespeare’s Hamlet which reads: “May flights of Angels sing thee to thy rest.”
