Since the invasion started on February 24, most of the attacks have taken place in the east of Ukraine as Russian forces struggle to make gains further.

But there have been signs of more western strikes, with a citizen being killed in a missile attack near Lviv – where thousands of Ukrainians have fled to.

Kyiv claims Russians have suffered almost 15,000 casualties while American sources report that 7,000 soldiers have died, including four major generals and several senior officers.
