The Kremlin was seen celebrating Donald Trump’s radical stance against Ukraine after the showdown at the Oval Office.
For Russia, nothing could be better than to see Trump side with it as Putin was overheard speaking on his microphone that America’s view of global affairs is very much in line with Russia’s.
Kremlin press secretary Dmitry Peskov shared his reply on the matter during an interview that aired this Sunday to Trump that opened new lines of communication with Russia’s head of state.
This includes taking a stronger stance against Ukraine in terms of discussions about how the war would end.
Russia says that all of this was very impossible to imagine and noted how the US under Trump had sided with Russia last week on two votes at the UN, downplaying its role for Ukraine’s invasion.
The latest administration policy is quickly changing the configurations, and this mostly coincides with its vision, it added. They also spoke about how both sides are working hard to re-establish relations as they were stronger once before.
While there is a long way to go, Putin and Russia know that this start is just what they needed. After all, a lot of damage has already been done to the entire complex of bilateral relations.
However, if the political will of both leaders remains, they hope that this path would be taken swiftly and more successfully.
