A congressman is reportedly pushing way for a major change in law that would enable Donald Trump to run for a third term.
But at the same time, it would not allow Democrats like Obama or Bill Clinton to do the same, a source shared.
Rep Andy Ogles proposed an amendment on Thursday that would enable presidents three terms in office as long as they did not serve two consecutive four-year stints.
This would give rise to Donald Trump serving the chance to become the president for the third time, whose two terms were interrupted by Joe Biden.
Bush, Clinton, and Obama all served two terms back to back.
As per the documents, ‘no person shall be elected to the office of the president more than three times, nor be elected to any additional ter after being elected to two consecutive terms, and no person who held the office of the president or acted as president for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the president more than twice, the amendment mentioned.
The 22nd Amendment currently bars Trump and all those holding two terms in the Oval Office from running for a third term.
