A 19-year-old brave fast food worker who hails from the Bay Area was seen losing her eye while trying to stop an individual from bullying a disabled young boy.
The victim was identified as Bianca Palomera who is believed to be working at California’s Habit Burger Grill. On Nov. 12. she noticed how a group of four men started to harass the child and the fact that he was a special need child made her even more motivated to step in.
The child was believed to be the brother of one of her colleagues that she was working with. He had arrived at the eatery to wait for the shift to end as recently reported by KNTV.
She spoke about how she wished to intervene and even went about approaching one of those men. “I just politely told him to stop but he wouldn’t listen”- she continued.
But never in a million years did she imagine that he would be throwing out threatening statements or slurs like how he was willing to beat him up. He also began to make some threatening moves and at that point, Bianca felt the need to step in.
“They had a huge problem with him looking away. I told them it is not right what they’re doing and they needed to stop”- she continued.
The surveillance footage from the incident showed how the culprit quickly punched Biance in the face and slowly, a major brawl ensued at the eatery. Several customers began to get involved. Finally. Bianca did manage to free herself from that particular individual.
The suspect was seen fleeing to the store and had three others by his side. They managed to get away by fleeing inside a silver-toned BMW as confirmed by reports from KNTV. Bianca and her sister claim the suspects appeared to be between the age group of 16 to 21 years.
After that, the victim was rushed to a nearby hospital and that’s when doctors gave her the warning that she might end up losing her right eye. And that’s exactly what happened in the end.
