A bride-to-be who proposed to her own partner and shared a viral video is now suffering major backlash at the hands of trolls.
The woman felt it would be cute to document her little love story in the form of a wedding proposal to her partner but the types of comments she got from strangers blew her mind.
27-year-old Sukhmin Garcha who hails from India asked her loving partner to marry her on a stunning beach in Vancouver. And while everything did go according to her plan, the types of responses she got from others blew her mind.
Some people told her that she should be embarrassed for stooping so low while others felt that a few things should be left to the man and this is one of those.
Sukhmin says that the vile comments were not necessary and they really overshadowed her beautiful moment. “This was supposed to be about love, life, and our happily ever after. But what I got in return was not that. It was so many trying to reign on my parade”- she continued.
The young woman says that she’s broad-minded and in her world, popping the question is never about gender. It’s about love and nothing else. hence, she’s always been open to the idea of telling him how much she loves him and can’t wait to spend the rest of her life with him by her side.
The bride-to-be says that it was mostly women who had a problem with her behavior. They were so judgemental that it was hard to imagine what type of life they were living and how they end up behaving with their partners.
Does this young woman have any regrets over her decision? Absolutely not, in fact, she’s so proud of herself for standing her ground and doing things on her own terms instead of being dictated by society.
