An ex-nurse from Florida has reportedly been sentenced to prison for having intimacy with her teenage stepson.
The nurse was believed to be caught red-handed by her own husband, who not only became furious but also reported her immediately in 2024.
Now, her trial has come to an end and she has been sentenced to two years in jail on Tuesday. The nurse was identified as Alexis Von Yates as confirmed by the court records.
The 35-year-old former health care worker remained stone-faced this whole time as the Florida Fifth Judicial Circuit Court Judge Timothy McCourt handed down the punishment as per the latest video taken from Court TV. Von Yates glammed up her entire face using makeup and sported a black turtleneck as she was sentenced to prison.
McCourt did agree to a plea deal with Von Yates’ legal team that seriously reduced the ex-nurse’s prison sentence. She was originally charged with s*xual battery by a person in familiar authority.
But this plea deal lessened the charge to lewd and lascivious battery on a child between the ages of 12 and 16, as per recent court records. Now, she will be required to complete 200 hours of community service and pay fines and court fees.
