“In 2022, we’re back and bringing Earthshot to the USA where we’ll award the next five winners of the Prize,” he said in a Twitter clip.

Earthshot Prize is “a global prize for the environment, designed to incentivize change and help to repair our planet over the next ten years” according to the award’s official website.

The prize was brought to life by Prince William himself back in October 2020.

While the details concerning the couple’s December trip to the US remain shrouded, this will be the Duke and Duchess’s first time in eight years to visit the country.

The news comes weeks after it was revealed that Kate and William are set to move from London’s Kensington Palace to a 4-bedroom home in Windsor this summer in order to be closer to the Queen.

“Kate and William were very keen for a modest home to start their new lives in Windsor. Adelaide Cottage fits the bill because it is a four-bedroom home and they do not need any more as they have no live-in staff,” one insider previously told The Sun.

“They had no other demands than a pleasant family home close to schools and the Queen.

“They were adamant they didn’t want anything too showy or anything that needed renovating or extra security so as not to be a burden on the taxpayer.”
