It’s not the news that many Republicans were hoping for, but President Trump has walked out unsuccessful from his meeting with Russia’s Dictator leader Putin.
According to reports from local media outlets, Trump was shunned in his efforts to try and secure a peace deal in the form of a ceasefire to help end the war between Russia and Ukraine.
Instead, the President of the US received nothing but a cold shoulder in that regard and a simple invitation to Moscow, which left the American leader in sheer disbelief.
The stage was set in Alaska, where Trump rolled out a red carpet for a man who is known to be a war criminal and wanted in the International Court of Law, but that didn’t stop the American President from trying.
Now, Trump says that it’s all on Ukraine’s Zelensky to try and come forward and secure a deal that could potentially give rise to a peace deal where both sides can benefit.
The Ukrainian leader has agreed to take a trip to Washington, DC, to meet with the Trump administration. Many do hope something fruitful can come out of this meeting, as it appears to be the last resort.
