According to local media reports, pregnant media journalist Charlotte Bellis was stranded in Afghanistan and despite her numerous pleas to return back to New Zealand, she just couldn’t find a way out.

For that reason, she has now been forced to turn to the Taliban for assistance in the matter as New Zealand’s strict COVID-19 rules and regulations come into play by Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern.

Bellis also spoke about the horrors of being pregnant in Afghanistan which is sometimes considered to be a death sentence due to the poor condition of maternity care in the country and the lack of expertise for surgical operations.
