NBA Fans were forced to evacuate a California arena on Saturday night after a fire alarm went off during a matchoff between the Golden State Warriors and Detroit Pistons.
Sources from local media outlets were quick to share how the game was interrupted after a disturbing message was flashed on the big screen as per reports.
The jumbotron stated, ‘There has been a fire alarm reported in the building’- the message read as per footage shared on the X app just after 9 pm.
This was followed by instructions to proceed to the next exit and leave the building. The instructors also instructed not to use elevators while making an exit.
About 20% of the fans complied and headed towards the exits as panic gripped the area when the alarm was set off.
One person shared how the fire alarm just suddenly went off at the Chase Center towards the end of Q1 and fans made a rush for it.
Few moments later, fans were informed that it was just a false alarm and that they could return back to their seats and enjoy the game.
Authorities are investigating the matter and how and why the screen flashed the message all of a sudden if there was no fire alarm.
