Many people were killed, and at least 13 remain missing following a devastating blast at a bomb factory in Tennessee on Friday morning.
According to officials, the huge explosion took place at about 7:45 am local time at the Accurate Energetic Systems plant at the Hickman-Humphreys County line, west of Nashville.
Humphreys County Sheriff Chris Davis confirmed to reporters that there were some fatalities and that some people are missing, but he failed to provide the exact figures. However, speculations claim that the figure is huge and yet to be confirmed.
Sources added how the blast impacted an entire building of the property. The factory is located miles away from any homes and businesses.
Right now, officials were seen speaking about how much time is needed at the moment. ‘We are prioritizing people that might be involved in this and informing loved ones and trying to be so compassionate towards them,’ they added.
At least 13 people were still missing, and fears that the death toll will rise further are increasing, as confirmed by Hickman County Mayor Jim Bates, who spoke to ABC News.
Sources shared that more investigations are taking place to determine what exactly went wrong and what may have led to this devastating blast.
