Massive fire erupts after one plane crashes into another at Montana Airport


A massive fire erupted on Monday after a plane crashed at Kalisspell City Airport, the authorities shared.

Flathead County Sheriff Brian Heino spoke in more detail about how emergency crews were dispatched to the scene after reports went live about two aircraft colliding into each other.

Firefighters rushed to the scene of the massive blaze and were seen battling the huge flames. Horrified witnesses shared more details about how thick smoke and flames started to rise from the site of the crash.

Details regarding the type of plane involved and any kind of injuries were not revealed immediately. The small plane that caught fire was said to be close to the runway, and the flames extended over the runway’s infield. After a short while, the plane ended up colliding with another that was parked on the runway. The second one that was struck luckily did not have any occupants and was empty.

Currently, the airport remains closed as emergency personnel continue to manage the situation. Further updates were expected as more details became available.

The community situated in Northwest Montana is called the gateway to Glacier National Park, which is said to be a stellar part of the state. Thankfully, four people managed to escape the downed airplane, and the investigation is nowbeing  taken over by the FAA.
