Tragic reports coming in from Tullahoma in Tennessee are speaking about a tragic attack involving pit bulls that left a 50-year-old grandad and his 3-month-old granddaughter dead.
As per reports from the police, the officers entered the home at about 3 pm and found those dogs actively mauling the infant. The grandad tried to protect the child but was not able to control the dogs when they carried out that same attack.
Replying officers had no choice but to shoot and kill the attacking dogs on the scene to prevent the mauling from getting worse than it already was.
Neighbors spoke about how the family owned a total of seven pitbulls, and those same animals ended up attacking animals in the neighborhood before as well. This includes one of the neighbor’s cats, and there were so many more involving people, too.
One of the neighbors shared the deadly encounter she witnessed with another female on the street, claiming the woman was screaming for help before responders arrived at the scene.
It was a shocking moment for many to see what had taken place and the level of violence on display by the dogs. She also shared how she did not ever think the family considered those same dogs to be dangerous because there were just too many. The matter is under investigation, but it is confirmed that the victims were alive when the dogs started to attack them, but they passed away from their serious injuries.
