Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth is staying true to his words and vowed to introduce fitness like never before seen in the troops.
The news comes after he was seen slamming all those officers with bellies as viral pictures were shared online after troops were deployed in Illinois.
He proudly mentioned that some Texas National Guard Troops who did not meet physical fitness standards were getting replaced, and those who failed to make the cut were also informed that there was no place for them to serve.
Hegseth mentioned that fat troops and fat generals are not a choice for the US military and that standards are back in his department, so you have to work hard, train well, and eat right if you want a spot.
Several members of the Texas National Guard showed up in Illinois with giant bellies, and he mentioned that this was unacceptable for obvious reasons.
He slammed anyone who was overweight, adding that it was about time that they got their priorities straight because the competition to fit in was tough. Right now, it’s not clear if any of the troops in the photographs were removed from duty or how many. The Texas Military Department didn’t reply immediately to a request for comments.
