Pete Davidson could be facing prison time after he was officially charged over his car crash earlier this year.
The 29-year-old actor and comedian crashed his Mercedes into a home in Beverly Hills on March 4 at 11 pm after allegedly losing control of his car while driving at high speed.
The incident took place in the neighborhood of Flats, and the authorities confirmed that drugs and alcohol haven’t played a role in the crash.
Davidson has now officially been charged with reckless driving, a charge that comes with a fine of up to $1,000 and a potential sentence of up to 90 days in jail.
According to the reports, the owner of the home that Pete crashed into claimed that the house had to be demolished because of the alleged damage to the foundation.
In pictures showing the aftermath of the collision, Davidson’s car is seen missing a part of its front bumper. Its hoodie and windshield were also crushed in the crash.
Fortunately, neither the occupants of the home nor Pete and his girlfriend Chase Sui Wonders, who was in the car with him at the time of the crash, suffered any injuries in the collision.
The crash came just hours after Wonders and Davidson returned to Los Angeles after spending the day soaking up the sun in Hawaii. Upon their return to LA, the SNL alum attended the Kids’ Choice Awards before leaving the venue with his partner and getting involved in the crash.
The latest pictures show that the home affected by the crash has since already been razed to the ground.
