One tattooed mother is sharing her dilemma with the world.
She claims that her face is all it takes to scare people and that’s taking a serious toll on her life, making it hard for her to make a living.
The tattooed mother says she has adored body inkings for years and now, she’s baffled at how people find it right to bash her left and right.
“It’s a part of my identity and I don’t see why people have to be scared or judgemental. It does not feel good when you’re purposefully barred or banned from a specific location because of tattoos on certain parts of your body, she continued. She just finds it so wrong and has now been deemed to be a nuisance to society as some aren’t loving the way she appears.
Melissa Sloan who is a mother of three mentioned says she’s in the middle of a controversy. She is opting to cover her whole face in black tattoos to try and make it easier and more uniform for others to accept her look.
But not all of her loved ones agree with her decision. They feel that the decision is major and there’s no turning back.
The tattoo addict says it’s hard when her own employers are counting the days for her to leave and are afraid that she might end up scaring off their clients at meetings.
She is often refused any job at the front desk. But it hurts her sometimes because she feels it’s more discrimination than anything else.
Many people have offered to help the mother remove her inkings but she feels that’s not fair. She wants to lead a norma life, just the way that she is. And with such a drastic appearance, many feel she might be asking for too much. What do you think?
By now, everyone knows that society is going to judge us, right or wrong & particularly with tattoos on the face.
I don’t know for a fact, but I would bet that most businesses aren’t going to hire someone with face tats.
Thats the price you pay for wanting to be different to express your individuality.
You may be a good person but it’s hard for most people to get pass that first encounter.
It’s a shame someone needs to ruin their life because of tattoos . I can’t believe they think they deserve to live the way they used to. This person is a mess and needs to find a way to get rid of the crap on their face . How do they expect to work a job or even exist. Ugly , ugly
people like you are why people kill themselves. be kinder
I bet it’s all Trumps fault too
😂😂 yup they blame that poor man for everything
She knew what she was doing. She wanted to get a reaction and now she is. I even think this article is more of the same.
You made a choice. Unless you have been living in the darkest recesses of the world, you were aware of the reaction you would get. You have a n entire body to tattoo, but that wasn’t enough. Personally, I love tats, but facial tats are creepy to me and your artist is not even very good. My grandmother would say that you made your bed hard, now like in it.
On the other hand, there are jobs in theatre, auto shops, hospitals as custodian or orderly, working with animals – they don’t judge- in zoos or vet offices, even back of house in the service industry. You could start your own gig and build a business or work night shifts…
Try find a skin tone ink to cover up or lazer to take em off .look for peace w God.
A belt sander and 60 grit sandpaper might work.
I don’t know where her journey into face tattoos started necessarily, and how it progressed, but at some point I imagine there was a conscious effort to cross a boundary of social acceptability. I love tattoos, I think (some subtle) face tattoos are OK, but you really run a risk of alienating yourself if you take it too far, and it seems this lady, as lovely as she may be, hopped, skipped & jumped over that line.
I wish her the best, and I hope she makes some positive decisions moving forward.
I live in Hawaii where this is not unusual to see full face ink so doesn’t really phase me. This obviously made her happy to do it,she has every right to do so. With that being said: employers have the right to not hire as well. It may not be because they don’t like the look so much as they need to think of customers. She made the choice, and if she loves her look and the meaning behind it just continue on until she finds the right fit. It may be a behind the scenes type of job, but she is already hiding behind a mask. I wish her luck.
I will also say, tattoos are expensive, and take lots. If time. she has obviously put a lot of both into her expression yet, is now feeling judged and needing money. This wasnt a “oops” what did i do last night situation.
I hope she can find a comfortable fit somewhere, but it really is not anyones smfault but her own.
Sometimes we do today what we may regret tomorrow
She knew better, getting just what someone who wants to be different gets.
Poor choices in life, but your choice! Just like employer’s choice of who they hire to represent or be image of their company!
My dear, I think you need help. If you are so far into your delusion to think that people would ignor your face and hire you that proves my point. I do not think a tatoo parlor would even hire you. You did this to yourself and I hope that you don’t expect welfare to support you if you can’t find a job. You can live with the tats, on your own. No sympathy here.
It might be different if the tattoos were nice looking tattoos. These look lie a hot mess. I personally am not a fan of tattoos, but I’ve certainly seen some that are works of art. These, not so much. You knew what you were doing when you got them, you knew what peoples reaction would be, live with it. If I owned a business, I would never hire you for any customer contact job. Behind the scenes, no problem. I hope you find something!
I have worked for places that if you have tattoos on your arms you must wear long sl.
