Several people were reported injured after a shooting in New York City’s Times Square.
The incident took place at about 1:20 am local time on Saturday after a verbal dispute arose between two people, which escalated to a dangerous level.
A 19-year-old man was shot in the right foot, alongside a 65-year-old male who was shot in the left leg. Similarly, an 18-year-old female suffered from a graze gunshot wound to the neck, as per The Times.
The incident led to widespread chaos and panic in the area, which has been a popular tourist attraction for decades. Following that incident, the cops and first responders were seen rushing to the scene between West 44th Street and 7th Avenue. The victims were said to be taken to the Bellevue hospital and are now said to be in a stable condition, as per the local media outlets.
Footage shared on social media showed people fleeing outside the Hard Rock Cafe, which is one of the most popular tourist spots in Times Square.
After gunshots were heard in that area, a car was seen pulling over to the side of the road outside the Hard Rock Cafe, as per The Sun and The Independent. Witnesses also spoke about how they witnessed bullet holes inside the window of the car.
