Shocking reports coming in from the United Kingdom are speaking about the moment when King Charles and Queen Consort Camilla were pelted with eggs during their recent walkabout.
According to reports, the royal couple was targeted by a protester who began chanting slogans against the palace and its palace, moments before being taken into police custody.
The couple was reportedly being welcomed to York by city leaders when a man threw eggs at them. Thankfully, he missed the target but they did land near them.
The protester could then be heard shouting at the top of his lungs, ‘this country was built on the blood of slaves’ as he was being escorted away by the police.
On that note, a few other people located in the crowd began chanting ‘God Save the King’ and ‘Shame on You’ as the man was led away into a police van.
Daily Mail was quick to identify him as Patrick Thelwell who is famous as an eco protester that once stood as a Green Party candidate.

A total of four police officers could be seen bundling him down to the ground while yelling some more slogans against the royals. But shocking footage is now surfacing online that shows eggs flying past His Majesty and breaking on the floor right beside him.
At that moment, King Charles was in shock as he happened to be busy meeting city leaders.
For a second, Charles stopped and stared and looked around at the broken eggs that stood near him on the ground. But other than that, he barely reacted and was soon being taken away by his security team who feared he and Queen Consort Camilla might be under threat.
